Information on Yoga Classes

 

Yoga classes in the Satyananda tradition offer postures, breathing practices and meditation for students of all levels of ability.

A typical yoga class:

begins with a short relaxation to centre and forget the outside world for a while
 

moves into a series of yoga postures (asana) to relax the body, increase flexibility and remove energy blocks
 

further relaxes and focuses the mind while improving energy flow with breathing practices (pranayama)
 

before integrating and harmonising body, mind and spirit with deep relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation
